Planned CEO Retirement

After 18+ years of service with SHEPP, Alison McKay will retire as Chief Executive Officer of SHEPP, effective June 26, 2026.

During her tenure, the Plan experienced significant growth and strengthened its long-term sustainability. The Fund more than doubled in size, membership grew by 35 percent, and a progressive funding policy was implemented. As a result, the Plan successfully eliminated its unfunded liability, reinforcing its financial strength and security for members.

Throughout this period, members’ best interests remained central to decision-making. The organization also developed a strong internal culture that supports effective, consistent service to the Plan.

The Board of Directors has initiated a formal search for the next Chief Executive Officer and has a well-managed transition in place. The Plan’s governance and day-to-day operations remain unchanged, and work on organizational priorities will move forward as planned.
